New Delhi: The owner of “Baba Ka Dhaba” owner of the Kanta Prasad was taken to the Safdarjung Delhi Hospital today. The 81-year-old child tried to commit suicide, the police said.
“On Thursday at 11:15 a.m., information was received from the Safdarjung Hospital received by Prasad there. The police reached the hospital and collected MLC (Medico-legal case) which mentioned the intake of alcohol and sleeping pills as a cause of unconsciousness,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Kumar Thakur was quoted by the Press Trust of India.
The son of Kanta Prasad Karan told the police that his father had taken drinks and sleeping pills. His wife Badami Devi, spoke to reporters, said he fell unconscious in their store.
“I didn’t know what he had eaten, what he drank. They took him to the hospital after he fell unconscious. The doctor hasn’t told us anything. I don’t know what he is thinking,” said the wife of Kanta Prasad told reporters.

With a wealth of last night, Kanta Prasad opened a restaurant but the crowd immediately was thinning and losses accumulate. Earlier this year, the restaurant was turned off and Kanta Prasad returned to run Dhaba the road with his wife.
“I closed the restaurant on February 15. It took around ₹ 1 lakh to run it but the return was very bad,” he told Ani’s news agency. He also claims he has lakh ₹ 20 of his income and will run his kiosk until he is still alive.
