Pakistan Was “Bad-Mouthed”: Imran Khan Rules Out Allying With US In War: Report

Islamabad: Pakistan will never be partnered with the United States in the war, said Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday and added that as Pakistan, he never felt more “insulted” than when his country decided to join the US war in terror.
“Pakistan can be a partner with the United States peacefully but has never contradict,” Khan said during the National Assembly budget session when he discussed extensive subjects, the Dawn newspaper reported.

“When we provide so many services, whether they (as) praise us or recognize our sacrifices? Instead, they call us hypocrites and blame us. Instead of appreciating us, Pakistan is badly mouthed,” he said. “We decided to become the frontline country for American war on terror. I asked repeatedly, what should we do with war?”

While questioning the “ignorance” of the previous administrative policy, Khan asked, “Whether any country is involved in (war) of others and loses 70,000 lives?”

In addition, Khan even warned that “a very difficult time” came to Pakistan remembering the situation in Afghanistan. Pakistan said that around 5,000 Terrorists belonging to Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) pose a threat to their security from their “holy place” in neighboring countries.

“Afghan statement contradicts the facts about the land and various UN reports, which also strengthen the presence and activities of more than 5000-TTP which are strong in Afghanistan,” said Pakistan’s foreign office this week.

Earlier this month, Pakistani Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that Islamabad hoped that the Taliban would not allow terrorist groups such as TTP to carry out activities against Pakistan.

Pakistan has completed more than 80 percent of Durand’s line fence along with Afghanistan despite facing counterattacks from people on both sides of the line. Apart from the absence of a concrete agreement with the Afghan government, the Pakistani government declared the Durand line as an official border.
