Netflix is expanding its Scandinavian programming with the release of Black Crab, a thriller starring Noomi Rapace in a freezing post-apocalyptic environment.

What is the storyline of Black Crab?
Black Crab is a Netflix adaptation of Jerker Virdborg’s suspense novel of the same name. The book’s summary is as follows:
Black Crab is an existential thriller set in a civil war that could very well be our own time. Four troops are dispatched from a military base near the seashore to transport capsules to a research facility farther south. They don’t know what’s in the capsules, they don’t know each other, and they have little idea what’s going on in the battle, but they have to complete this mission on skates over the icy sea in the dead of night.
The following is the official plot synopsis for Netflix’s Black Crab, as provided in a press release:
Black Crab is a post-apocalyptic action thriller set in a world ripped apart by climate change and violence. During a never-ending winter, six soldiers are dispatched on a perilous trip across the freezing sea to deliver a cargo that might ultimately end the conflict. The mission tests their ideals and compels them to ask: what are they ready to sacrifice for their own survival? They are equipped with guns and ice skates, but they have no idea what they’re carrying or who they can trust.
