With the Taliban, making some talkatives in Kashmir on the heels of the visit of the Chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), the visit of Gen Faiz Hameed to Kabul on Saturday (September 4), LT GEN (RETD) Syed Ata ATA Hannain-the general who used the style “heart as a” operating weapon “in Kashmir, clearly sees the events that throw shadows in the valley.
The former general said there could be efforts to exploit the situation in Kashmir, while everyone’s attention seems to be elsewhere. “However, our ground domination will ensure that this does not manifest yourself negatively or leave any impact,” he said. “What we should be careful is the immediate period before winter this year. Pakistan has a well-greased recruitment and infiltration system, and I would like to put this instead.” India would have to be careful to guarantee any disturbance to our grid against Infiltration, “he added.
With the resurgence of the Taliban, LT Gen. (RETD), HASNAIN, has been talking about the changing sands in the “cemetery of the empires” with the special approach in the impact on Kashmir.
“Thought similar to Taliban exists in J & K,” he said. “It remains behind a shroud, but it is presented in times of crisis. It is not in favor of India, and efforts to unfortunate this segment will take many years. It is likely that the temporary success of the Taliban will inspire some elements within this segment “.
In an exclusive talk, the former military general argued that in the midst of the rise of the Taliban, the ability of New Delhi to face dual threats or Colusas from China and Pakistan should continue to be developed in an integral manner. Extracts:
Does Kabul’s fall to the Taliban have some impact on Kashmir?
The wavy effect of Afghanistan always tends to travel to J & K. However, India’s experience in managing the proxy conflict sponsored by Pakistan in the last 30 years holds us in a good position today. From a military safety perspective, I think most of our contrary are in place. There are non-traditional security areas in which we may need to maintain our focus. The inspiring messaging to young people through Pakistan, the radical ideas of Russians and reinitiation of Azadi with a religious fervor should be expected. It is not necessary for any of this to be successful. Our agencies have done a good job in neutralizing some of those networks that support the proxy war. But others still exist and should ot stop neutralizing them for all who fight against proxy conflict in J & K.
The dramatic change in Afghanistan is seen by many as the victory of Pakistan and the loss of India. Do you see it also that way?
Pakistan has received an impulse in terms of his influence on Afghanistan. India may have been temporarily proven, but no question should be made to be paired. This is a dynamic situation and will continue to progress. We need agile diplomacy from which we are quite capable. Taliban is not a monolith, it has factions and cliques. We could establish links with them and continue to deliver goodwill and soft power for people. Pakistan can not offer medical facilities, without training in administration, advanced education, etc., that the Taliban will require directing the State. However, we must also remain synchronized with the international community, considering our own interest at all times.
Official General Command (GOC) de Srinagar-based on 15 Corps Lieutenant General D.P. Pandey recently said that US forces withdrawing from Afghanistan can push some militants to Kashmir. There have been Afghan fighters in Kashmir in the past. Do you think they can deviate back to the valley?
The gooc is right. There could be efforts to try to exploit the situation while the attention seems elsewhere. However, our ground domination will ensure that this is not manifested negatively or leave any impact. What we should be careful is the immediate period before this year’s winter. Pakistan has a recruitment system and well greased infiltration and would like to put this instead.
