The Minister of External Affairs Jaisankar on Friday said that the people tested before and after international travel were a pretty good basis but some countries now introduced vaccination problems, emphasizing the need to achieve some understanding.
Mr. Jaishankar, overcame a shared press interaction after a meeting with his partner Russia Sergey Lavrov, said that he believed that the basis for the trip must be tested.
“If the people who were tested earlier for international travel and tested on arrival were a pretty good base for travel but some countries now introduce vaccination problems.
“So, we must clearly reach some understanding I discuss today how we ensure that we are not discriminated against and how we achieve understanding between ourselves about the journey of our citizens to their respective countries,” Mr. Jaishankar said.
He said that the challenge of Covid-10 has actually provided an opportunity for India and Russia to show the strength of their cooperation.
“We see that today is the production of sputnik vaccines and I fully agree with my Russian partner.
“I think we have to protect our population and help the world and both go together that they are part of the same problem,” he said.
Lavrov, commenting on the cooperation between Russia and India in the war against the Covid-19 pandemic, said that Russia was ready to discuss citizen certifications that were vaccinated against Covid-19 with India, and the agreement could be achieved in this field.
“We are ready to discuss the possibility of coordinating our actions related to vaccinated citizens, regarding their vaccinated certification. I think we can reach an agreement here, and it will serve as an example of another country,” he said.
Lavrov stressed that the two countries against vaccine politicization and efforts to be guided by unfair competition.
