Minister Maharashtra Health Rajesh Tope suggested that the state relax the relaxation of restrictions in Mumbai and 24 other districts that reported CVIV-19 positivity rates below the state average. The state can allow businesses to open and vaccinate people to travel. A final decision will only be taken by the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Tope said before a meeting called by the CM with the Covid-19 State Working Group.
Tope said in the remaining 11 districts, where the rate of infection is high, more restrictions may be imposed. We discussed further relaxation in 25 districts, including Mumbai, where the rate of positivity is much lower than the average state.
But there will be no relaxation in the remaining neighborhoods of Pune, Solapur, Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Beed and Ahmednagar where the rate of positivity of infections is above average, has announced The Minister.
The Maharashtra Minister of Cabinet and Minister of Mumbai, Aslam Shaikh, said the COVID-19 working group presented his recommendations on state relaxation in Thackeray. Those who took the two doses of Covid vaccine should be allowed to travel and open their businesses, he said.
