Mamata Banerjee planned a trip to meet Sonia Gandhi, “can meet PM if …”

New Delhi: Bengal Head Minister Mamata Banerjee will be in Delhi later this month as a political activity, targeted at 2024 national elections, nails in the national capital, said source. This was Ms. Banerjee’s first visit after the victory of landslides in the election of the Bengal Assembly in May. The victory, which was achieved in the face of the power of the BJP selection machine, has sparked speculation on it playing a larger role in front of the opposition in the next general election.
The source said during a visit, which could be extended for four days, Ms. Banerjee would meet with several opposition leaders including the Head of the Head of Sonia Gandhi, Head of the Sharad Pawar National Congress Party, Head of the Jamajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav, Head of the Party of Aadmi and Minister of Delhi Kejriwal and several others.

“I have never been to Delhi after the poll. Now the Covid situation is better. I will go to Delhi during Parliament, meet friends,” said Ms. Banerjee this afternoon. “If I was given time, I could meet the Prime Minister and President,” he added. The date of the visit, however, was not repaired, he added.

Political activities soared for the past month, starting with two Prashant Kishor polls with Sharad Pawar. NCP’s head, though, said the meeting did not involve politics after Mr Kishor held a four-hour meeting with Gandhis earlier this week, intensifying speculation about joining the party.
