Pixel 6 Issues: Inexplicable Screen Flickers, Pink and Green Colors, and More

Google debuted the Pixel 6 series globally last week. The Pixel 6 series comprises two smartphones: the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Both phones went on sale Thursday, and consumers reported experiencing some troubles the following day. Numerous Reddit users have complained about the Pixel 6 Pro gadget flickering when the power button is pressed. Given that the majority of complaints are about high-end models, it’s unclear whether this issue will also affect Pixel 6 devices. From $ 599, Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with a 50MP camera and Android 12 are available.

The Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro Display Strange Issues

At the moment, reports of Pixel 6 series screen difficulties are coming from a small number of customers. However, that number may climb. According to users’ Reddit postings, a flickering issue occurs when they hit the power button. This specific issue is manifesting on a Pixel 6 Pro. Although Android Police observes a similar issue with their own evaluation devices. However, it is unknown whether the issue also affects the standard Pixel 6 variant. This is because the Pixel 6 Pro receives the majority of user complaints.

On the other hand, one of the afflicted users prepared a short video demonstrating the issue. According to some users, the flashing might be caused by static charge that the phone releases when the power button is pressed. Along with the flickering issue, several Pixel 6 series users reported a sudden appearance of a green tint on the display. Meanwhile, an odd occurrence has surfaced online. The Pixel 6 series features a hole-punch cutout in the middle for the front-facing camera. On social media, a user shared a video demonstrating the secondary hole-punch cutout. Although this might be a result of certain display dead pixels. According to all documented complaints, it is unclear if the display troubles are the result of flawed software or some hardware malfunction.
